PagerDuty Integration - Incident Management

Connect StatusPulse to PagerDuty for automated incident creation and escalation policies. Reduce mean time to resolution (MTTR) by routing critical alerts directly to your on-call engineers.

Configure the Integration in 4 Steps

Follow these steps to link your StatusPulse workspace with your PagerDuty account. The entire process takes under three minutes.

Step 1

Create a PagerDuty Service

Navigate to Services > Create Service in PagerDuty. Select API Events v2 as the integration type. Copy the Events URL provided on the configuration screen.

Step 2

Generate a StatusPulse Webhook

In StatusPulse, go to Settings > Integrations > PagerDuty. Click Generate Webhook. StatusPulse will provision a dedicated endpoint for your account.

Step 3

Map Alert Severities

Assign StatusPulse check failures to PagerDuty priorities. Critical downtime maps to P1, degraded performance maps to P2, and maintenance windows map to acknowledged incidents.

Step 4

Verify Connectivity

Trigger a test alert from StatusPulse. Confirm the incident appears in your PagerDuty queue with the correct metadata, including host IP, check name, and timestamp.

Automated Escalation Policies

StatusPulse synchronizes with your existing PagerDuty escalation chains. When a check fails, the platform automatically routes the incident based on your defined rotation schedules and severity thresholds.

Routing Rules

Dynamic Priority Assignment

Incidents triggered by SSL expiration or DNS propagation failures auto-assign to the Network Ops rotation. Database latency spikes route directly to the Backend Engineering team.

Acknowledge & Resolve

Bi-Directional Sync

Actions taken in PagerDuty reflect immediately in StatusPulse. Acknowledging an incident pauses status page notifications, while resolving it automatically triggers the recovery webhook.

On-Call Management

Timezone-Aware Dispatch

Integration respects your team's working hours and swap requests. Alerts generated during off-hours route to the designated backup engineer without triggering redundant mobile push notifications.
